India Emerges as Global Beauty Industry’s Next Growth Destination, Bengaluru Expo to Showcase Opportunities

India is fast positioning itself as one of the most promising markets for the global beauty and personal care industry, attracting international brands, manufacturers, ingredient suppliers and investors eager to tap into a rapidly expanding consumer base. Reflecting this growing momentum, Cosmetica 2026, a major cosmetics, beauty and personal care exhibition, will be held at Bengaluru’s Palace Grounds from June 19 to 21, bringing together stakeholders from across the industry.

The event will be inaugurated by actor Nidhi Agarwal, actor and President of the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce Dr. Jayamala, and Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI) President Uma Reddy.

USD 30 Billion Market Driving Global Attention

India’s beauty and personal care market is currently estimated to be worth more than USD 30 billion and is expected to witness strong growth in the coming years. Industry experts attribute this expansion to rising disposable incomes, increasing urbanisation, growing digital commerce and changing consumer preferences.

With one of the world’s youngest populations and a rapidly expanding middle class, India is increasingly being viewed as a key driver of growth for the global cosmetics sector.

According to Ceyril Perira, Managing Director of Triune Exhibitors Pvt. Ltd., the global beauty industry is no longer looking at India merely as a consumer market. “The global beauty industry is increasingly looking towards India not merely as a consumer market but as a strategic hub for innovation, manufacturing and product development. Cosmetica 2026 will serve as a platform to connect brands, suppliers, distributors, retailers and beauty professionals while showcasing the immense opportunities that India offers,” he said.

Emerging Trends and New Consumer Preferences

Industry growth is being fuelled by rising demand across premium skincare, colour cosmetics, fragrances, men’s grooming products and natural, herbal and Ayurvedic beauty solutions. The rapid growth of e-commerce, quick commerce and social commerce platforms has enabled brands to reach consumers in Tier-II and Tier-III cities, significantly expanding market access.

The exhibition will also focus on emerging trends shaping the future of the industry, including clean beauty, sustainable packaging, cruelty-free formulations, beauty technology and personalised skincare solutions. These trends are increasingly influencing purchasing decisions among Gen Z and millennial consumers.

Industry Challenges and Innovation in Focus

Alongside growth opportunities, industry leaders will deliberate on key challenges such as regulatory compliance, counterfeit products, supply chain resilience, raw material price volatility and growing competition. Networking sessions and discussions during the exhibition are expected to explore strategies for sustaining growth while addressing these concerns.

The exhibition will feature segments covering cosmetics and finished products, ingredients and formulations, packaging and machinery, professional salon and spa services, and beauty technology. The beauty-tech segment will highlight AI-driven personalisation tools, virtual try-on technologies, digital marketing services and e-commerce solutions.

Cosmetica 2026 is being organised in association with leading industry bodies, including the All India Hair and Beauty Association, All India Cosmetics and Beauty Association, Professional Beauty Association, All India Cosmetics Manufacturing Association and the All India Cosmetology & Dermatologist Association of India.

As global beauty companies deepen their engagement with India, industry observers believe the country is poised to play a central role in shaping the next chapter of the global cosmetics industry.
