From Hearts to Hands: Coffee Mugs Bring Warmth to Young Cancer Patients in Bengaluru
BENGALURU – A simple yet profound gesture of compassion transformed an ordinary day at the Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology into a moment of shared humanity, as 100 coffee mugs were donated to children battling cancer in the Kapoor Ward.
The initiative, led by philanthropist and Memon Biryani owner Irfan Sait, aimed to bring small comforts to young patients enduring rigorous treatment. Noted Kannada playback singer Dr. Samita Malnad personally distributed the mugs, lending her presence to lift the spirits of children and their families.
“Every small act of kindness can make a world of difference to a child fighting cancer,” said Irfan Sait, whose thoughtful contribution turned everyday objects into symbols of care.

Organisers and doctors expressed hope that more individuals and organisations would step forward, turning small gestures into a sustained wave of support for those fighting life-threatening illnesses.
