Sangeeta Sinha – Profile at a Glance
Sangeeta: A Story of Courage, Enterprise and Women-Led Dreams
Sangeeta’s journey is a powerful testament to what courage, conviction, and compassion can create. Born in Purulia, her childhood was rooted in simplicity, strong values, and close-knit relationships. Life later took her to Sodepur, where growing up in a joint family taught her the enduring lessons of sharing, responsibility, and resilience—principles that continue to guide her personal and professional life.
Academically trained with a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Sangeeta’s greatest education came from life itself. Marriage marked the beginning of a new chapter, and today she lives with her husband and daughter, gracefully balancing the roles of a mother and an entrepreneur. Motherhood, rather than slowing her down, strengthened her resolve and sharpened her purpose.
What began as a small home-based catering service gradually evolved into a thriving restaurant chain—built not on privilege, but on perseverance. With limited resources and boundless determination, Sangeeta stepped into entrepreneurship over a decade ago. For the past ten years, she has grown her business with honesty, consistency, and heart. Her dream is clear and courageous: to run a women-led restaurant chain, creating spaces where women not only work, but lead.

For Sangeeta, business is not merely about profit—it is about purpose. As a woman who understands the daily struggles of balancing home, work, and aspirations, she believes that financial independence is the first step toward dignity, confidence, and freedom. Her vision now extends beyond her own success to uplifting underprivileged women, helping them acquire skills, self-belief, and sustainable livelihoods.
Speaking during her interaction with the judges’ panel, Sangeeta reaffirmed her commitment to women empowerment. She believes that charity begins at home—a value she practices by raising her daughter with lessons of equality, respect, and independence. She also actively supports and mentors women around her, including her domestic help, encouraging them toward self-reliance and personal growth.
If honoured with the Bravery Award, Sangeeta sees it not as recognition, but as responsibility. She aspires to guide and motivate women—especially those from marginalized backgrounds—by sharing skills, building confidence, and nurturing belief in their own potential.
Sangeeta is a mother first, an entrepreneur by choice, and a leader by action. By empowering one woman at a time, she believes real change begins at the grassroots—strengthening families, communities, and society with dignity and self-respect.
