Bahujan Alliance Rallies SC/STs, OBCs & Minorities to Claim Political Power

Bahujan Alliance Calls for United Political Front to Uphold Constitutional Values

“बहुजन गठबंधन (BBA) का आह्वान: SC/ST, OBC और अल्पसंख्यक अब राजनीतिक सत्ता पर दावा करें”

BENGALURU – In a powerful call to action, the Bahujan Alliance (BBA) has urged historically marginalized communities—including SC/STs, OBCs, and minorities—to unite and claim their rightful share of political power, positioning this as essential for safeguarding India’s democracy and Constitution.

The announcement was made during a press conference held in the city, where the alliance critiqued the current political landscape as divisive and exploitative, and presented its coalition of 36 parties as a new, hopeful alternative for the nation’s majority.

A Call for Alternative Politics

The alliance’s central argument is that for over seven decades, the benefits of India’s development have been largely confined to a small elite, while the vast majority—often referred to as the ‘Bahujan’—has been left behind. The BBA positions itself as a movement to correct this historical imbalance and return to a politics focused on service, dignity, and equal rights for all citizens.

Mohammad Nazeer Ahmad, National Founding Committee Member and Karnataka State Coordinator for the BBA, stated that the current political discourse, framed around secularism and communalism, obscures the real issues of justice and development.

“The future of the country holds no benefit from either of the two major alliances,” Ahmad said. “Dalits, Muslims, minorities, tribals, workers, women, and farmers’ children have all been kept away from political power. The dominant upper castes have ruled for decades.”

“ಬಹುಜನ ಮೈತ್ರಿಕೂಟದ (BBA) ಕರೆ: SC/ST, OBC ಮತ್ತು ಧರ್ಮೀಯ ಅಲ್ಪಸಂಖ್ಯಾತರು ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಶಕ್ತಿ ಕೋರಬೇಕು”

Safeguarding the Constitutional Vision

The alliance framed its mission as a direct continuation of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s vision. They expressed grave concern that the foundational document of the nation is under threat from forces seeking to alter its core principles of equality and justice.

“Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s Constitution gave equal rights to all. But today, some forces are trying to change or even destroy it, while others remain silent. This is creating a grave danger to democracy and justice,” the alliance noted in its address. The BBA has declared the protection of the Constitution and the rule of law as its central and most urgent concern.

A Coalition for Change

The BBA represents a significant coming together of 36 like-minded parties with a shared goal. This coalition aims to break the cycle of what it terms “communal, pseudo-secular, and criminal politics” by offering a platform dedicated to the empowerment and socio-economic development of poor communities.

“This is a humble appeal to begin a politics based on dignity, self-respect, and equal partnership,” Ahmad explained, outlining the alliance’s positive and motivational vision. “Let us create a political system that enables the original inhabitants and the poor of this country to live with dignity. Let us strengthen peace and harmony.”

A Unified Path Forward

The BBA’s message is ultimately one of unity and hope. It calls upon the 90% of the population it terms the ‘Bahujan Samaj’ to awaken to its collective strength and vote in the coming elections for a future that ensures their children’s well-being and the nation’s holistic development.

“For 3,000 years, Manusmriti exploited the vast majority. Ambedkar gave us a solution with a good Constitution, but its ideals are not being implemented,” Ahmad stated. “Now, after 78 years of Independence, national Bahujan thinkers have floated the BBA with the sole intention of protecting the Constitution and rule of law with justice to every citizen. This alone will bring peace, prosperity, and development to our country.”

The alliance positions itself not just as a political alternative, but as a necessary movement to bring India in line with developed nations by ensuring true justice and partnership for all its citizens.
