Administrative Breakthrough: Masjid-e-Taha Committee Formally Approved; Major Community Welfare Drives Announced

Official Committee Approval Paves Way for Enhanced Community Welfare and Youth Leadership at Masjid-e-Taha Mathikere

Bengaluru: In a significant milestone for local community administration, the Management Committee of Masjid-e-Taha, Mathikere, has officially received formal approval from the District Waqf Board Office. The announcement, made during a public gathering following Friday prayers, marks the culmination of a diligent ten-month administrative process and sets a progressive, forward-looking agenda for the neighborhood’s socio-religious infrastructure.

The approval formally unlocks crucial development funds and small grants that had been pending. Addressing the public, Samiullah Khan, President of the Masjid-e-Taha Mathikere Management Committee, expressed profound gratitude to the community and officials who facilitated this breakthrough.

“Last year on October 25th, we initiated this process and immediately submitted all required documentation to the District Board Office,” President Samiullah Khan stated. “Following the necessary public notices and a thorough review process spanning nearly ten months, we have officially received the committee approval today, right here in front of the public. This vital step ensures that pending grants can finally be released to accelerate our welfare initiatives.”

Transparent Governance and Strategic Appointments

The formalization of the committee underscores a commitment to transparent and accountable leadership. Operating strictly within the framework of the Karnataka Waqf Board Act of 1995, the management has established clear-cut nominations to streamline community service.

The newly structured Leadership Team includes core members Samiulla Khan S/o Late Abdul Gafoor Khan, Shahajahan S S/o T P Abdul Shukoor, Basheer Ahmed Beig S/o Ibrahim Beig, Samiulla S/o Abdul Gafoor.K, Akram Pasha S/o Abdul Jabbar, Mohammed Fakruddin S/o Mohammed Hasnuddin & Fazil Ahmed Shariff S/o Late Gouse Mohiddin.

“Every single person on this team is dedicated to the service of God and the people,” Khan remarked. “Our focus is entirely on constructive work, not on show. We have a highly prepared core team, and I am incredibly heartened to see their shared vision and synergy.”

Expanding Civic Infrastructure and Welfare Programs

With the administrative approvals secured, the committee is swiftly shifting its focus toward extensive civic and social welfare projects. Given the large geographical jurisdiction of the Mathikere sector, the committee’s responsibilities extend beyond the daily management of the masjid to encompassing the upkeep and systematic documentation of the local graveyard.

The committee is also prioritizing immediate educational and financial aid initiatives. On June 28th, a special community program will be hosted under the auspices of the Baitulmal to distribute talent awards to meritorious children and financial aid cheques to families in need.

“Our mission is pure service to the people,” Samiullah Khan emphasized. “We are working diligently to ensure all legal and official records, including death documentation and graveyard assets, are meticulously updated through the proper gazette channels to protect community infrastructure for generations to come.”

Empowering the Next Generation of Leadership

A cornerstone of the revitalized committee’s vision is the active integration of youth into community governance. A robust youth committee—featuring dedicated members like Zaheer Sahab, Umar, Hasanain, and the long-serving Liaquat Sahab, who has championed community service for nearly four decades—has been integrated into the core operational fold to foster collaborative growth.

The management highlighted that bridging the gap between experienced guidance and youthful energy is a vital solution to modern operational challenges, including complex local administrative tasks and coordinating effectively with Booth Level Officers (BLOs) for swift public processing.

“While larger organizations often look at status, true community democracy welcomes anyone with a sincere desire to serve,” Khan stated inspiringly. “We are actively fostering a second line of leadership by bringing our youth to the forefront. Preparing the next generation to handle community challenges and administrative responsibilities is a beautiful opportunity, and despite the current challenges, we are fully equipped to move forward together with absolute positivity and unity.”
