Bengaluru, 28 Sept. 2026: The Karnataka Pradesh Youth Congress Committee (KPYC) has appointed Bharath Yadav G. as President of its Cultural and Sports Department, entrusting him with the task of expanding cultural initiatives, promoting youth participation in sports and strengthening the organisation across Karnataka.
The appointment was made under the direction of Indian Youth Congress President Uday Bhanu Chib, with the approval of Karnataka Youth Congress in-charge Nigam Bhandari and on the orders of KPYC State President H.S. Manjunath Gowda.
Focus on Culture, Sports and Youth Participation
In his new role, Yadav has been asked to develop cultural and sporting activities as platforms for engaging young people and widening their participation in the Youth Congress organisation.
“The responsibility is to effectively expand cultural activities, encourage greater participation of young people in sports and further strengthen the Youth Congress organisation,” the KPYC said while outlining his mandate.
The appointment also places emphasis on coordination between the department and the party’s organisational structure at the state and district levels.
Organisation Stresses Ideology and Discipline
Yadav has been instructed to work in accordance with the principles, ideology and organisational discipline of the Indian National Congress, while maintaining close coordination with KPYC units across Karnataka.
“The new responsibility must be discharged with sincerity, commitment and dedication, while working closely with the state and district units,” the committee said.
The KPYC expressed confidence that Yadav’s appointment would help broaden its cultural and sports outreach and provide more opportunities for young people to participate in organisational activities across the state.
