Mind, Body, and Unstoppable Spirit: Young Women Take Center Stage at CMA Grounds Annual Sports Meet
Bengaluru — Under a bright sky at the Mominpura CMA Ground, the athletic track became a canvas of resilience, empowerment, and unyielding ambition. Abbas Khan College for Women hosted its Annual Sports Meet, transforming the arena into a testament to female determination where over 700 young women shattered hesitation with every stride.
Shattering Hesitation on the Track
For many students, the event was far more than a routine sports day—it was a deeply personal breakthrough. Young women who had rarely stepped onto a competitive track marched in tight synchronization, lined up at starting blocks, and threw themselves into relays, martial arts, and field events. The air was thick with enthusiasm, driven by a collective realization that true victory lies not merely in podium finishes, but in the courage to step up and run.

Forging Inner Strength Beyond the Finish Line
Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest Ms. Shruthi K.S., Physical Education Director at BGS College of Engineering, shared a moving account of her own journey. She reminded the athletes that sports do more than build physical stamina; they forge an enduring inner strength that empowers a woman to navigate life’s steepest hurdles without fear or weariness.
Echoing this spirit, Central Muslim Association (CMA) President Farooq Mahmood emphasized that a healthy body and a disciplined mind form the bedrock of a vibrant society. Reinforcing the institution’s holistic philosophy, he noted that faith and culture champion physical fortitude just as strongly as intellectual power, making every participant a winner in her own right.

From Classroom Success to Championship Glory
The college’s commitment to balanced excellence is already bearing fruit. Attar Syed Murtaza Hussain, General Secretary of CMA, proudly noted that alongside maintaining a flawless 100 percent academic pass rate, the college is rapidly emerging as a sporting powerhouse. Having recently clinched the District Level Boxing Championship and secured three gold and four silver medals in District Judo, the young athletes are now preparing to represent their institution at the state level.
A Resounding Statement of Empowerment
Degree Principal Prof. Dr. M.S. Vidya, PUC Principal Aysha Rukhsar, Physical Director Aslam Pasha, and Administrator of CMA Institutions Saniya Farzeen supervised a seamless series of events across five house teams, ensuring every student found a platform to shine—from track relays to karate and javelin throws.
In a society where young women often fight silent battles for opportunity, the scene at the CMA Ground delivered a roaring statement: when given trust, training, and a venue, their potential knows no limits. As the awards were handed out, the cheers of 700 triumphant young women left behind a lasting truth—that the future belongs to those brave enough to step into the light and run toward their dreams.
