“Shameful and Concerning”: Women’s Group Condemns Timing of Iran Attacks Following PM Modi’s Israel Visit

Indian Women’s Organization Condemns US-Israel Strikes on Iran, Calls for Urgent Diplomatic Intervention

Bengaluru: The Akhil Bharatiya Janavadi Mahila Sanghatana (All India Janavadi Women’s Organization) has strongly condemned the military strikes launched by the United States and Israel against Iran, describing the attacks as a violation of international law and a grave threat to regional stability. The organization has expressed particular concern over the impact on women and children, citing reports of school bombings that have resulted in multiple child casualties.

In a press release issued from its Bengaluru headquarters, the Karnataka state committee of the organization denounced what it termed “imperialist aggression,” warning that the escalation would have devastating consequences for the entire region. The statement highlighted that the strikes constitute a fundamental violation of national sovereignty, international law, and United Nations charters.

“The inhumane attack on a primary school where young children were studying has resulted in the deaths of several children, serving as a mirror to the cruelty of American imperialism,” the organization stated, expressing solidarity with the women and children of Iran.

The organization pointed to the timing of the strikes as particularly significant, noting they occurred amidst ongoing negotiations between the United States and Iran. “The attack carried out while America-Iran talks were underway shows that America’s intention behind the strike was different,” the statement read, suggesting the military action undermined diplomatic efforts.

Chandra Kumari, President of the organization, sharply criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent visit to Israel. “The attack taking place immediately after Narendra Modi visited Israel and returned is a shameful and concerning development,” she said in a statement. “Iran has long been a friendly country to India, and the Indian government must take a firm stand against this aggressive attack on Iran and initiate urgent diplomatic measures to stop the war.”

Devi, General Secretary of the organization, emphasized the broader humanitarian implications. “The entire region is facing increased turbulence due to this cruel behavior of imperialist war mongering, which will have destructive effects. The lives and livelihoods of common people in that region, as well as Indians working there, are in danger. This horrific attack threatens peace and international security,” she stated.

The organization reiterated that the people of Iran have the right to criticize their government or wage struggles against it, rejecting what it described as American attempts to mask imperialist goals behind the facade of establishing democracy through forced regime change. It called the approach “complete hypocrisy.”

The statement comes amid escalating tensions in West Asia following coordinated US-Israeli military action against Iranian targets, which has drawn condemnation from multiple countries and international organizations concerned about broader regional destabilization.
