High Turnout Marks Karnataka TET 2025 Examination
Bengaluru, December 7, 2025: Karnataka successfully conducted the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2025 across the state today, recording an impressive attendance rate. The examination, overseen by District Commissioners in district centers, saw a significant number of candidates appear for both Paper 1 and Paper 2. The tests were managed by the Centralized Admission Unit, Department of School Education, Bengaluru.
Over 93% Attendance for Both Papers
The morning session, Paper 1 (9:30 AM to 12:00 PM), intended for teachers of classes 1 to 5, recorded a 93.35% attendance. Out of 85,042 registered candidates, 79,394 appeared for the test. This included 71,578 candidates who opted for the Kannada medium, 7,606 for other mediums, and 210 candidates with visual impairment.
The afternoon session, Paper 2 (2:00 PM to 4:30 PM), for teachers of classes 6 to 8, saw an even higher turnout at 94.79%. The total registration for Paper 2 was 250,189, with 237,164 candidates appearing for the exam. The subject-wise breakdown for attendees includes 148,761 for Kannada Medium-Social Science, 12,524 for Other Medium-Social Science, 44,858 for Kannada Medium-Mathematics and Science, and 31,021 for Other Medium-Mathematics and Science.
Extensive Staffing and Technology Deployment Ensured Smooth Conduct
A large contingent of staff was deployed across all examination centers to ensure the smooth conduct of the TET 2025. The staff included 1,233 Chiefs of Examination Centers and 20,555 Room Supervisors and Relievers. Furthermore, 2,444 Paramedical Staff and 1,222 personnel for collecting mobile phones and other items were on duty. Security was maintained by 1,826 Police Personnel.
Internal and external monitoring was also robust. The roster included 1,222 Local Vigilance Squads, 4,622 personnel for general duties, and 569 External Supervision Officers and Staff. Additionally, 352 District-level Webcasting Staff, 35 Observers, 35 State Office District Supervisory Officers, and 33 State Office Webcasting and Supervisory Officers and Staff were involved in overseeing the process.
To ensure the integrity of the examination, crucial technological measures were implemented. The task of managing CCTV cameras, candidate biometrics, and frisking at every center was handled through the agency Innovative India, Limited, New Delhi.
