Sony Pictures Networks India Appoints Seasoned Journalist Gaurav Laghate to Lead Communications
BENGALURU – In a strategic move to bolster its corporate narrative, Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) has named Gaurav Laghate as its new Head of Public Relations and Corporate Communications. Effective September 2025, Laghate will be tasked with steering the company’s communications strategy, with a direct reporting line to MD & CEO Gaurav Banerjee.
Laghate joins SPNI from leading business daily Mint, where he served as Senior Editor and Head of the Consumer Bureau. His 17-year career in journalism is marked by extensive coverage of the media and entertainment sector, including linear and OTT platforms, regulatory affairs, and the advertising industry. His deep industry knowledge and established credibility are expected to be central to shaping SPNI’s reputation and engaging stakeholders in a highly competitive and evolving market.
