High distinction rates and focused academic strategies mark steady progress

Bengaluru: Abbas Khan PU College has recorded a strong academic performance in the 2025–26 Pre-University examinations, with several students scoring as high as 96% and 95% across Science, Arts, and Commerce streams. A total of 15 students secured distinction, while more than 75% of students passed with first class, reflecting a consistent upward trend in results compared to the previous year.

Focused Teaching and Student-Centric Approach

The college attributed its success to a structured and student-focused academic strategy. Special emphasis was placed on individual attention, remedial coaching, and continuous assessment.

“We ensured that every student received personal guidance. Special remedial classes and fast-track revision sessions helped consolidate learning and improve performance,” said Ayesha Rukhsar, Principal, AK College for Women.

Echoing this, Zohra Begum, Vice Principal, noted, “We created dedicated groups to support slow learners. The outcome is clearly visible in the improved results and growing confidence among students.”

Faculty members highlighted the systematic approach adopted throughout the year. “We designed model question papers, conducted chapter-wise and weekly tests to strengthen conceptual clarity,” said Ayesha Siddiqua, Assistant Professor of Mathematics.
