Statewide Campaign in Karnataka to Highlight Prophet Muhammad’s Message of Justice
Bengaluru, September 1, 2025 – Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Karnataka, has announced a major statewide campaign focused on the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad, with a special emphasis on his role as a messenger of justice and compassion. The initiative, titled “Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), The Messenger of Justice,” will run from September 3 to 14, featuring public events, interfaith dialogues, and social service activities.
The campaign was formally introduced during a press conference held on Monday at the BIFFT Auditorium on Queens Road, where organizers unveiled the official poster and outlined their goal of fostering greater understanding and correcting misconceptions about the Prophet.
Campaign Aims to Bridge Communities Through Teachings of Justice
The campaign, timed to correspond with the Islamic month of Rabi’ al-awwal in which the Prophet was born, seeks to share his universal message with a broad audience. Central to the effort are three primary objectives: spreading the Prophet’s teachings on justice and humanity, addressing widespread misunderstandings about his life, and promoting stronger intercommunity relations.
State Secretaries of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Karnataka, Mohammed Kunhi and Labeed Shafi, emphasized the relevance of the Prophet’s example in today’s world. “The life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) offers timeless principles of equality, justice, and kindness,” said Kunhi. “Through this campaign, we wish to share these values with everyone, regardless of faith.”
Labeed Shafi added, “In a time of global uncertainty, his message provides a framework for peace and mutual respect. We hope this effort encourages open dialogue and unity.”
Series of Events Planned, Including Major Bengaluru Summit
A diverse lineup of activities is scheduled across Karnataka, including social service initiatives, public seminars, essay competitions, and interfaith dialogues. Two newly published books from Shanti Prakashana, which explore the Prophet’s life and message, will also be released as part of the campaign.
The highlight will be a large public summit on September 13 at the Basava Samiti Anubhava Mantapa Auditorium in Bengaluru. The event is expected to draw religious scholars, social leaders, political figures, and members of the literary community.

Emphasis on Social Harmony and Education
Sheikh Haroon, Bengaluru City President of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, underscored the educational aspect of the campaign. “Knowledge is the most effective tool against prejudice. By learning about the Prophet’s life—his compassion, his treaties with non-Muslims, his stand for justice—we can counter false narratives and build a more informed society.”
Muhammad Peer, State Public Relations Assistant Secretary, noted that the campaign is designed to be inclusive. “This is not only for Muslims. We invite people from all backgrounds to join us in these events and benefit from the universal values the Prophet embodied.”
The campaign reflects a growing effort by religious organizations to use public outreach and education as means of promoting social cohesion and countering extremism and misinformation.
