KSRTC Rolls Out 90 Additional Buses for Onam, Offers Special Travel Discounts
Bengaluru, India – In anticipation of a significant surge in travel for the Tiru Onam festival, the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has announced a major special operation, scheduling 90 additional buses to Kerala from September 2 to 4. The initiative is designed to ensure seamless and affordable travel for the public during one of the busiest holiday periods in the region.
The special services will primarily originate from key hubs in Bengaluru, including the Mysuru Road Bus Station and the Shanthinagar Bus Station (BMTC), connecting passengers to major destinations across Kerala such as Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Kozhikode, Kannur, Palakkad, and Kottayam. All premium-class special buses will be operated exclusively from the Shanthinagar Bus Station.

A 5% discount on the fare will be applied for bookings of four or more passengers on a single ticket. Furthermore, passengers who book their onward and return journey tickets simultaneously will receive a 10% discount on the return leg of their trip.
The return operation has also been planned, with special buses scheduled to run from various locations in Kerala back to Bengaluru on September 7, catering to the post-festival rush.
