Nightingales Medical Trust Launches Free Training Program for Elderly Caregivers in Bengaluru
Bengaluru, August, 2025 – Nightingales Medical Trust (NMT), a non-profit organisation dedicated to elder care since 1998, has announced a fully free, one-month training program to prepare certified caregivers, with a special focus on supporting dementia patients.
Addressing Rising Need for Elder Care
With India’s ageing population increasing rapidly, the demand for trained caregivers is growing significantly. NMT said the initiative is designed to equip individuals with practical skills in bedside assistance and professional eldercare, while also creating job opportunities.
“This initiative not only equips individuals with vital caregiving skills but also helps bridge the widening gap in professional eldercare,” a spokesperson from NMT said.
Program Structure and Benefits
The program is open to candidates between the ages of 18 and 45 who have completed at least 8th standard and are motivated to serve the elderly. Participants will receive hands-on training in a healthcare environment, along with placement assistance upon completion.
