Shaheen chief Dr. Abdul Qadeer dismisses claims of fund misuse as “absurd and malicious”

“No Misuse, Only Mission”: Dr. Abdul Qadeer Condemns False Allegations Against Shaheen Group

Bidar, August 2025: Dr. Abdul Qadeer, President of the Shaheen Group of Institutions, has strongly rejected allegations of fund misuse made by A. Alam Pasha, calling them “baseless, irresponsible and malicious attempts to tarnish the reputation” of an institution that has been serving students for more than three decades. He has announced legal action, including a ₹10 crore defamation claim and possible criminal proceedings, against the accuser.

Denial of Misuse and Clarification on Scholarships

Responding to charges of irregularities in scholarship distribution, Dr. Qadeer said the allegations showed a “complete lack of common sense.”
“Scholarship amounts are directly deposited into the accounts of students through an official portal. Everyone, even young students, knows this process. Suggesting misuse is absurd,” he said, adding that the system leaves no scope for outside interference.

He emphasized that Shaheen Group has educated more than 16,000 students across 13 states and has always upheld transparency and accountability in its financial and academic operations.

Condemnation of Irresponsible Allegations

Dr. Qadeer accused Alam Pasha of deliberately spreading misinformation for over six months to create divisions and incite hatred.
“These are not just lies; they are crimes against society. To claim that we poisoned children or forced them into rituals is disgraceful. Such allegations are made with malicious intent to divide communities,” he said.

Urging his detractor to “repent and stop misleading the public,” he added that defamatory statements not only harmed the institution but also jeopardized the trust of families who depend on Shaheen for their children’s education.

Legal Action to Protect Reputation

A legal notice has been served to Pasha through a Bengaluru-based advocate, demanding a public apology within three days. Failure to comply, Dr. Qadeer warned, will result in escalation to criminal charges, including filing of an FIR.
“We will not tolerate slander any longer. Our reputation has been built through decades of service, and we will defend it vigorously,” he asserted.

Transparency in Charity Funds

Dr. Qadeer also addressed allegations of misusing donations meant for widows and underprivileged girls. He explained that charity funds are managed through a structured system of 6,000 collection boxes, with 3,000 already in use across 137 mosques. These are monitored by trustees, and transactions are recorded through a digital application.
“Between ₹1.5 lakh and ₹3 lakh is distributed monthly to those in need. Contributors have every right to question us, and we encourage accountability. There is no room for personal misuse,” he clarified.

Supportive Environment for Students

Refuting claims of poor treatment of students, Dr. Qadeer highlighted the nurturing atmosphere within Shaheen institutions. He pointed out that parents are invited during admissions to share meals with students and observe the staff’s interaction.
“If one child says they didn’t like the food, that does not reflect the reality of thousands who thrive here. Parents witness the transparency themselves,” he said, urging families to engage directly with the institution rather than be misled by false narratives.

Commitment to Education and Social Good

Founded in 1989, the Shaheen Group of Institutions has become a beacon of hope for marginalized communities. Dr. Qadeer, a civil engineer by profession, is widely recognized for his philanthropic initiatives in education. He stressed that the mission of Shaheen is to uplift disadvantaged communities, not to pursue personal gain.
“We are dedicated to building futures through education. Attempts to malign us will only strengthen our resolve,” he concluded.
