Workshop Focuses on Wastewater Treatment and Reuse

Bengaluru, June 26: Karnataka Udyog Mitra, in collaboration with Daiki Axis India and the Department of Industries, organized a workshop on wastewater treatment and reuse, emphasizing decentralized solutions and sustainable water management practices.

The event brought together government officials, sustainability experts, and water infrastructure specialists to discuss strategies for enhancing wastewater purification and recycling in both domestic and industrial sectors across Karnataka.

Japan’s Expertise in Water Sustainability Shared

Mr. Rio Waza, Director of Daiki Axis Japan, highlighted Japan’s transformation from environmental degradation in the 1960s to becoming a global leader in sustainable water infrastructure. He elaborated on the capabilities of Johkasou technology—an advanced decentralized wastewater treatment system—in efficient water resource management, pollution control, and waste minimization.

“Daiki Axis is committed to addressing local priorities, fostering community engagement, and enhancing skill development in India,” said Waza.

Expansion Plans and Cost-Effective Solutions for Karnataka

Mr. Kamal Tiwari, CEO of Daiki Axis India, announced the company’s expansion across multiple Indian states, including Karnataka. “Our upcoming unit in Tumakuru will facilitate access to cutting-edge technology while reducing implementation costs,” he stated.

Mr. Krishna Prasad, Managing Partner of Sukrut India—a key collaborator in installing over 130 Johkasou units across Karnataka—emphasized the importance of scalable and sustainable water solutions.
