Bagalkote Father Celebrates Son’s SSLC Failure to Inspire Him to Try Again

Abhishek Yallappa Cholachagudda, a student at Basaveshwara High School, scored 32% in his exams, falling short of passing. While the result initially left him disheartened, his family chose an extraordinary way to lift his spirits—celebrating his effort with a cake-cutting ceremony at home.

Surrounded by his father, mother, grandmother, brother, and sister, Abhishek was reminded that one exam does not define his worth or his future. “This is just a chapter, not the whole story,” his father said warmly, feeding him cake and kissing his forehead. “Failure is not final. You have the strength to try again, and we will always stand by you.”

Abhishek’s journey has been marked by extraordinary challenges. At just 15 months old, he suffered severe burns on both legs, which impacted his memory. His father explained that retaining information has been a struggle, making exams especially difficult. “He couldn’t recall what he studied, but that doesn’t mean he lacks potential,” he said. “We believe in his ability to overcome.”

The family’s unwavering support has touched hearts across social media, with many applauding their courage to prioritize resilience over results. Abhishek, once heartbroken, now stands determined. “My parents showed me that failure isn’t the end,” he said. “I will try again—and I will succeed.”
