V-Xpress Targets Doubling Appointment Deliveries as Quick Commerce Demand Grows
Company handles 10,000 tonnes monthly through 40-plus centres; expansion in Karnataka expected to create over 150 jobs
BENGALURU: V-Xpress, the express cargo division of V-Trans (India) Ltd., is expanding its appointment-based delivery services to support the growing needs of quick commerce companies, organised retail chains and other businesses. The company currently handles around 10,000 tonnes of deliveries a month through the service and plans to double the volume over the next year, with a reported service level of more than 90%.
The service enables suppliers to schedule deliveries according to pre-agreed dates and confirmed warehouse receiving slots. Missed appointments can result in waiting time, rejected consignments, penalties and delays in stock availability, making timely coordination important for businesses that depend on regular replenishment.
Dedicated Centres and Technology to Improve Delivery Efficiency
V-Xpress operates more than 40 dedicated centres with a combined storage capacity of 50,000 square feet. It is also planning additional touchpoints in the Narasapura and Dabaspet industrial areas to improve access for businesses.
The company currently offers GPS-based tracking and last-mile shipment visibility to its Green Channel partners. Application programming interface (API) integration with partner platforms is in its final stages, while electronic proof of delivery (e-POD) supports delivery confirmation and record reconciliation.
“Our Appointment Delivery service helps quick commerce and modern trade suppliers meet receiving schedules, reduce delays and keep goods moving efficiently,” said Aditya Shah, Executive Director of V-Trans (India) Ltd. and CEO of V-Xpress.
