Bengaluru: In a powerful display of community spirit and civic education, a spirited children’s rally illuminated the streets of HBR Layout on Saturday, championing the cause of neighbourly harmony and social responsibility. The event, successfully organized by the Women’s Wing of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Arabic College Road (JIH–ACR), aimed to embed the values of compassionate and respectful coexistence within the public consciousness.
The rally is a key component of a broader, national-level campaign by the JIH to strengthen the fabric of community relationships across the country.
A March for Unity and Awareness
The inspiring procession commenced from the Dr. S. R. Chandrasekhar Institute of Speech and Hearing in Lingarajpuram, weaving its way through the neighbourhood before concluding at Bearys Amity, HBR Layout. Covering a stretch of nearly 1.5 kilometres, the rally was a vibrant spectacle of youthful energy and purpose.
Over 150 enthusiastic students, supported by cadres from the Children’s Islamic Organisation (CIO), marched in a disciplined and spirited manner. Their message was conveyed boldly through creatively designed placards and unifying slogans that highlighted the rights of neighbours and the importance of social harmony.
Dr. Asifa Nisar, who led the Women’s Wing campaign, set the tone for the event, stating, “When we plant the seeds of kindness and responsibility in our children, we are nurturing the architects of a more compassionate tomorrow.”

Community Applauds Youthful Initiative
The rally resonated deeply with residents and onlookers, who paused to appreciate the poignant message delivered by the young participants. The sight of children advocating for core societal values left a lasting impression on the community.
Reflecting on the overwhelming response, Dr. Asifa added, “This rally is more than an event; it is a powerful movement proving that our youth are not just future leaders—they are active citizens of today, capable of inspiring profound change.”
The organisers expressed gratitude to all collaborators and supporters. “We are profoundly thankful for the collective effort and pray that the positive impact of this initiative becomes clearly visible in our society,” a spokesperson said.

A Collaborative Drive for Change
The successful execution of the rally was the result of determined teamwork. Dr. Asifa and her core team worked tirelessly to mobilize women and children for the initiative. On the broader campaign front, the effort was steered by Jb. Sadrullah Khan and his dedicated team, ensuring widespread and active participation.
This grassroots movement serves as a compelling reminder that the foundation of a harmonious society begins at our doorstep. By empowering its youngest members to speak up for goodwill and mutual respect, the event has sown seeds for a more empathetic and connected community.
