CM Siddaramaiah Calls for Unity and Constitutional Values at International Milad-un-Nabi Conference
Bangalore Echoes with Messages of Peace and Brotherhood on Prophet’s Birth Anniversary
Bengaluru: In a powerful address that resonated with themes of harmony and spiritual wisdom, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah called for a collective commitment to peace and constitutional values at the International Milad-un-Nabi Conference held in Bangalore on Sunday. The event, a vibrant celebration of the birth of the Prophet Muhammad PBUH, became a significant platform for promoting interfaith solidarity and Islamic heritage.
Dressed in traditional attire and speaking from a podium set against an ornate architectural backdrop evocative of Islamic culture, the Chief Minister addressed a large, diverse audience. His speech was a heartfelt tribute to the Prophet’s teachings, which he described as a guiding light for all humanity.
“Prophets are the messengers of peace. The entire human race must work for peace, mutual respect, and brotherhood. This is the core teaching of the Prophet,” Siddaramaiah stated, infusing his address with a message of universal fellowship. He emphasized that the Prophet’s revolutionary teachings brought justice, equality, and religious harmony to all of mankind.

Constitutional Duty and Shared Heritage
Drawing a parallel between the Prophet’s message and India’s foundational principles, the Chief Minister underscored that brotherhood and religious tolerance are the very soul of the Indian Constitution. “Our Constitution’s fundamental aspiration is fraternity and religious tolerance. Therefore, let upholding and protecting the Constitution be the goal for all of us,” he urged, framing constitutional adherence as a sacred, collective duty.
He further connected this vision to Karnataka’s own rich history of social reform, noting that the 12th-century Sharana movement, led by Basavanna, also preached the same unifying value that all humanity is one.

A Gathering for Spiritual Awakening
The conference, organized by the Milad Committee at the Palace Grounds, was marked by its cultural and religious significance. The atmosphere was one of devout reflection and communal solidarity, with the Chief Minister’s greeting, “Jai Karnataka! Jai Hindu Muslim! Namaskaram to all of you,” met with widespread appreciation from the gathered crowd.
The presence of security personnel highlighted the event’s importance, ensuring a safe environment for a celebration that aimed to foster unity and spiritual awakening. A speaker at the event highlighted this theme, noting that “the awakening of wisdom will lead to the awakening of humanity.”

Dignitaries in Attendance
The conference was graced by several dignitaries, including Housing Minister Zameer Ahmed, Food and Civil Supplies Minister K.J. George, the Chief Minister’s Political Secretary Nasir Ahmed, and MLA Harris, alongside numerous religious leaders and community figures.
