Bengaluru, July 11 – A delegation of respected ulema and intellectuals visited the girls-only PU College run by the Central Muslim Association (CMA) in Kavalbyrasandra, expressing strong appreciation for the institution’s commitment to affordable, skill-based, and value-driven education. The scholars commended the CMA for creating a nurturing environment that not only imparts academic knowledge but also empowers girls with moral values, modern skills, and holistic development opportunities.

A Safe, Spacious and Student-Centric Campus

The visiting delegation toured the PU College campus and were visibly impressed by the infrastructure. Spacious classrooms with good ventilation, a dedicated auditorium, and an open playground were among the key highlights noted by the visitors. The college employs an all-women teaching and non-teaching staff, ensuring a safe and comfortable space for female students—a factor often cited as a concern by parents of school-leaving girls.

The CMA PU College offers Pre-University courses in Commerce with CEBA and HEPS combinations. Teachers at the institution are highly qualified and committed to academic excellence. In a roundtable discussion with CMA Public Relations Officer Syed Mazhar Khadri, the delegation voiced concern over the high dropout rate among girls after SSLC, largely due to poverty and safety concerns. They stressed the need for targeted outreach campaigns in surrounding neighborhoods to encourage parents to enroll their daughters in local institutions like CMA’s PU College.

“Educating a girl is like educating an entire family. We must collectively take this responsibility and guide our community,” emphasized Moulana Asif Khan Madni.

The scholars cited verses from the Qur’an and Hadith highlighting the elevated status of educating daughters and urged families to prioritize their daughters’ future.

The delegation included scholars such as Moulana Firdous Akhbar, Moulana Mohammed Furqan, Moulana Mohammed Umar, Moulana Mohammed Usman, Moulana Sayeed Fouzan, Moulana Sulaiman Khan, and Moulana Syed Irshad, all of whom praised the administration for its transparent and sincere efforts.

The Association manages institutions like Abbas Khan PU College, Abbas Khan Degree and PG Centre, Mominpura Higher Primary School, MS Polytechnic, and the PU College at Kavalbyrasandra.
