BENGALURU, [Date]: The Karnataka government has assured full cooperation with the Arya Vaishya community, emphasizing its commitment to welfare initiatives for students, widows, and the differently abled. S.E. Sudheendra, a member of the Karnataka Bio-Energy Development Board, reiterated the state’s support during a recent event organized by the Karnataka Arya Vaishya Mahasabha.

Welfare Initiatives Take Center Stage

At the event held on Monday, the Mahasabha distributed laptops to 180 undergraduate and postgraduate students, provided interest-free loans to 53 others, and extended financial aid to 309 widows under the Sandhyashree scheme. Additionally, lifetime pensions were granted to deserving differently-abled individuals, while the Amrajyothi insurance scheme offered further security.

Sudheendra praised the Siddaramaiah-led government’s past contributions to the community and promised continued assistance. “The state government will respond positively to the needs of the Arya Vaishya society. The Mahasabha’s private efforts in aiding the poor, widows, and students are commendable,” he said.

Highlighting an administrative gap, Sudheendra noted that the Karnataka Arya Vaishya Board currently operates without a president. “Our leaders will ensure the position is filled in the coming days,” he assured, acknowledging the Mahasabha’s interim role in serving the community.

Ravishenkar, President of the Arya Vaishya Mahasabha, emphasized the organization’s long-standing commitment. “For seven years, we have supported talented students and vulnerable groups within our society,” he said. The event also saw the presence of key figures, including RV Institute Joint Secretary Nagaraj and Haritha, Indian Railway Operations Manager (Mysore Division).

With government backing and private initiatives, the Arya Vaishya community’s welfare programs are set to expand, ensuring broader support for education, women, and the differently abled.
