Bengaluru, April 25, 2025 – The Karnataka Second Pre-University Course (PUC) Exam 2 began today, providing a crucial opportunity for students to enhance their academic performance. Conducted across 335 centers statewide, the exams will run until May 8 under heightened supervision to ensure fairness and transparency.

This supplementary examination, organized by the Department of Pre-University Education, is designed to help students—particularly those from government schools—who either failed or wish to improve their earlier results. In a supportive move, the Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) is offering free bus travel to students on exam days. Candidates need only present their admit cards to avail the facility.

The exams began with Kannada and Arabic papers today. Upcoming tests include:

  • April 25: Political Science, Statistics, Geology

  • April 26: Physics, History

  • May 8: Final day with languages like Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, Malayalam, and Marathi

Students unsatisfied with their results in this attempt will have one final opportunity in a third examination round, continuing the state’s flexible assessment approach.
