Assam Flood Relief: 100 Families Receive Mattresses and Essential Household Utensils

Dr India Charitable Trust, Malik International Foundation Join Hands to Support Flood-Hit Families in Sivasagar

Sivasagar, Assam: In a humanitarian initiative to support families affected by floods in Assam, the Dr India Charitable Trust, Tumakuru-Bengaluru, Karnataka, in association with the Malik International Foundation, Bengaluru, distributed 100 bed mattresses and essential household utensils to 100 flood-affected families in Chetiya village of Sivasagar district.

The relief initiative was aimed at providing immediate household support to families facing difficult circumstances following the floods. The organisers said that assistance with basic necessities can help affected families cope with the challenges of rebuilding their lives after a natural disaster.

The Dr India Charitable Trust said that helping people affected by natural calamities is a meaningful service to humanity and stressed the importance of standing with vulnerable families during times of crisis.

“Helping people affected by natural disasters is a great service to humanity. Standing with flood victims in such a difficult time is our collective responsibility,” the Trust said.

The relief effort received support from H.R. Qasim Sharief of Kubra Maternity Nursing Home, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and Prema Umade Mahtha of Chennai, along with philanthropists and donors associated with the Dr India Charitable Trust in Bengaluru.

The Trust expressed its gratitude to all those who contributed to the initiative and placed their trust in the organisation’s efforts to reach families affected by the floods.

A message of solidarity beyond geographical boundaries

The organisers said the assistance reflects the spirit of collective humanitarian responsibility, with individuals and organisations from Karnataka and Tamil Nadu extending support to flood-affected families in Assam.

“We are sincerely grateful to every donor and supporter who trusted our team and contributed to this mission of serving humanity,” the Trust said.

The Trust also thanked all philanthropists and donors for their valuable support, saying their contributions had helped strengthen relief efforts for families facing hardship in the aftermath of the floods.
