Bengaluru:<\/strong> The CMA Skill Development Centre at CMA PU College, Kavalbyrasandra, is helping young people and women acquire practical skills that can translate into employment, entrepreneurship and financial independence.<\/p>\n

The centre recently hosted a UAE-based family of healthcare professionals comprising Dr Muzammil Hafeez<\/strong>, Neonatologist and Professor; Dr Shabana Muzammil<\/strong>, Diabetologist and Business Administrator; Dr Faatimah Irfaanah Muzammil<\/strong>, Pediatrician and social advocate; Dr Faatimah Maryam Muzammil<\/strong>, youth mentor and social awareness advocate; and Hurairah Faatimah Muzammil<\/strong>, student counsellor and youth guide.<\/p>\n

IT programmes range from basic computer literacy and Tally to Python and cybersecurity. Students who have completed Class 10 can also pursue Nursery Teachers Training (NTT)<\/strong> and Montessori Teachers Training (MTT)<\/strong>, opening employment pathways in pre-primary and corporate schools.<\/p>\n

Skill development expert Parvez Ahmed<\/strong> said the centre offers free vocational training, particularly aimed at lower and middle-income families. Courses generally run for two to six months and cover IT, apparel, beauty and wellness, education, and industry-oriented vocational skills.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe purpose is to equip people with skills that can immediately create earning opportunities. Depending on the course and proficiency, trained candidates can potentially earn between \u20b910,000 and \u20b925,000 a month through jobs or self-employment,\u201d Ahmed said.<\/p>\n

The apparel section offers fashion designing, tailoring, neck and blouse designing, and computerized embroidery. Trainees are also introduced to marketing through Instagram, Facebook and retail channels.<\/p>\n

Beauty and wellness courses prepare makeup artists, nail technicians and beauticians for independent work or employment with established salons such as VLCC, with potential monthly earnings of around \u20b920,000 to \u20b925,000.<\/p>\n
