The coalition said the Election Commission has placed <strong data-start=\"494\" data-end=\"580\">1,10,59,288 voters, nearly 20% of the state\u2019s electorate, in the deletion category<\/strong>, while another 34 lakh voters reportedly remain unmapped.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"640\" data-end=\"831\">The coalition said the impact could be particularly severe in Bengaluru, where it claimed nearly 40% of voters could be affected, as well as in border districts and areas with high migration.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3 data-start=\"640\" data-end=\"831\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong data-start=\"628\" data-end=\"724\">\u201c1.10 \u0c95\u0ccb\u0c9f\u0cbf \u0cae\u0ca4\u0ca6\u0cbe\u0cb0\u0cb0\u0cc1 \u0c85\u0caa\u0cbe\u0caf\u0ca6\u0cb2\u0ccd\u0cb2\u0cbf\u201d: \u0c95\u0cb0\u0ccd\u0ca8\u0cbe\u0c9f\u0c95\u0ca6\u0cb2\u0ccd\u0cb2\u0cbf SIR \u0cb5\u0cbf\u0cb0\u0cc1\u0ca6\u0ccd\u0ca7 \u0c86\u0c95\u0ccd\u0cb0\u0ccb\u0cb6, \u0ca4\u0cc1\u0cb0\u0ccd\u0ca4\u0cc1 \u0c95\u0ccd\u0cb0\u0cae\u0c95\u0ccd\u0c95\u0cc6 \u0c92\u0c95\u0ccd\u0c95\u0cc2\u0c9f \u0c86\u0c97\u0ccd\u0cb0\u0cb9<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<hr \/>\n<h3 data-start=\"833\" data-end=\"881\">Questions Over \u2018Shifted\u2019 and \u2018Absent\u2019 Voters<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"883\" data-end=\"1192\">The coalition questioned why voters who have shifted temporarily for work or were absent when Booth Level Officers (BLOs) visited their homes should face deletion. It claimed that around 15% of those marked for deletion fall under the <em data-start=\"1118\" data-end=\"1138\">shifted and absent<\/em> categories and are neither dead nor duplicate voters.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1194\" data-end=\"1401\">It also questioned the Election Commission\u2019s claim that 100% of enumeration forms had been distributed and 99.56% digitised, saying it could provide examples of living voters who are still waiting for forms.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1403\" data-end=\"1734\">The coalition further sought clarity on the <em data-start=\"1447\" data-end=\"1468\">logical discrepancy<\/em> category and asked why BLOs and Booth Level Agents had not been adequately briefed about the software-based process. It said shifted voters should be given Enumeration Forms and Form 8 at their current locations rather than being deleted.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2089\" data-end=\"2247\">The coalition also called for public verification meetings at booth level after publication of the draft rolls, allowing corrections based on public evidence.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3 data-start=\"2089\" data-end=\"2247\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong data-start=\"729\" data-end=\"822\">\u201c\u0c9c\u0cc0\u0cb5\u0c82\u0ca4 \u0cae\u0ca4\u0ca6\u0cbe\u0cb0\u0cb0\u0ca8\u0ccd\u0ca8\u0cc1 \u0ca1\u0cbf\u0cb2\u0cc0\u0c9f\u0ccd \u0cae\u0cbe\u0ca1\u0cac\u0cc7\u0ca1\u0cbf\u201d: \u0cac\u0cc3\u0cb9\u0ca4\u0ccd \u0cae\u0ca4\u0ca6\u0cbe\u0cb0\u0cb0 \u0c85\u0cb3\u0cbf\u0cb8\u0cc1\u0cb5\u0cbf\u0c95\u0cc6 \u0c95\u0cc1\u0cb0\u0cbf\u0ca4\u0cc1 \u0c9a\u0cc1\u0ca8\u0cbe\u0cb5\u0ca3\u0cbe \u0c86\u0caf\u0ccb\u0c97\u0c95\u0ccd\u0c95\u0cc6 \u0caa\u0ccd\u0cb0\u0cb6\u0ccd\u0ca8\u0cc6<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<hr \/>\n<h3 data-start=\"2249\" data-end=\"2277\">Warning of Wider Protest<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2279\" data-end=\"2470\">The coalition alleged that the process was being conducted in a hurried and disorganised manner and criticised the Election Commission for not adequately engaging with civil society concerns.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2472\" data-end=\"2645\">It warned that failure to review the deletions, protect shifted and absent voters, provide adequate time and consider corrective measures could lead to intensified protests.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2647\" data-end=\"2988\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\"><em data-start=\"2647\" data-end=\"2670\">SIR Virodhi Karnataka<\/em>, a coalition of farmers\u2019, workers\u2019, Dalit and other social organisations along with several political parties, said it has formed <em data-start=\"2801\" data-end=\"2831\">Nagarika Mata Kavalu Samitis<\/em> at district, taluk and booth levels to protect voting rights.
