Pehchan Cell and TNS India Foundation Conduct Hands-on Workshop to Enhance Employability and Career Readiness<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

Bengaluru, 24 July 2026:<\/strong> In a step towards strengthening students’ career prospects and preparing them for the evolving job market, the Pehchan – Placement, Training and Development Cell<\/strong> of Abbas Khan Degree College for Women<\/strong>, in association with TNS India Foundation<\/strong>, organised an Orientation Programme on Training and Placement<\/strong> at the college campus on Friday.<\/p>\n

Unlike a conventional orientation session, the programme was designed as a practical workshop, enabling degree students to gain first-hand exposure to placement preparation, employability skills and industry expectations. The initiative focused on equipping students with the confidence and professional skills required to successfully transition from classrooms to workplaces.<\/p>\n

Industry Experts Share Practical Insights<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

The workshop was led by Ms. Praveena<\/strong>, Manager, TNS India Foundation, along with soft skills trainers Ms. Megha Halawai<\/strong> and Ms. Ujwal Neelamma<\/strong>, who guided students through various aspects of placement readiness, communication skills, interview techniques and workplace professionalism.<\/p>\n

Addressing the students, Ms. Praveena<\/strong><\/span> emphasised that technical knowledge alone is no longer sufficient in today’s competitive employment landscape.<\/p>\n

“Success in placements comes from a combination of knowledge, confidence, communication skills and the willingness to keep learning. Students must prepare themselves not only for jobs but also for lifelong professional growth,”<\/em> she said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Principal Dr. M.S. Vidya<\/strong> <\/span>said the college remains committed to creating opportunities that bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements.<\/p>\n

“Our objective is to ensure that every student leaves the campus with the confidence, skills and employability needed to build a successful career. Such industry collaborations play a vital role in achieving that goal,”<\/em> she said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
