    As part of its ground-level campaign, the Council co-hosted a specialized one-day “Tahaffuz-e-Shariat Workshop”<\/span> <\/strong>titled \u201cIslamic System of Inheritance: Realities and Misconceptions\u201d<\/i><\/span> at the Al-Falah English Arabic School in Phulwari Sharif, Patna, drawing significant participation from local women<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Addressing the seminar, Mufti Muhammad Nafe Aarfi,<\/strong><\/span> General Secretary of the Bihar Council, clarified systemic misunderstandings regarding gender roles in Islamic estate distribution<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

    “Out of the designated legal heirs (Zawil Furood),<\/strong> men inherit under 6 specific scenarios, whereas women inherit in 71 different contexts. In various instances, a woman’s share is equal to or exceeds that of a man, and at times, she inherits exclusively while male counterparts are excluded. Where a male receives a double share, it is strictly tied to his financial responsibilities\u2014based on the Shariah maxim ‘Al-Kharaj bil-Dhaman’<\/i><\/strong> (entitlement tied to liability)\u2014and not due to gender discrimination.”\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
